Do you think people who live in the united states should speak english even if they come from another country at a old age ? i need a body paragraph for this question

I believe people who live in the United States don’t need to speak English because many wouldn’t know how to speak it as they arrived. Although many might say they should because they need to learn to live in the U.S.; they, the people who migrated from another place, can learn to cooperate with it as they live throughout the years. Yes knowing English is a benefit in life especially in the past. Many people were still able to be successful if they did good whether it was business or in life. People shouldn’t have to know English as they came to the U.S., but maybe if the practiced throughout their lifetime it was a benefit. . Idk if it’s good but i hope it helps
