King Henry VIII was the king of England who brought about numerous changes in the society of England and the kingdom as a whole. He not only brought about a reformation in the religious section but also brought about a change in the English constitution and enlarged the royal power. But added to that, he was also best known for having six wives.

The first wife of King Henry VIII was Catherine of Aragon, who became his wife by default. She had been previously married to his older brother but due to his early death, they got married and she gave him a daughter Mary I who will later become the queen of England and Ireland.

The second wife was Anne Boleyn who he deeply loved. But her inability to produce an heir, a son made the king still in search for a queen who will be able to produce a legitimate heir. Anne Boleyn gave birth to a daughter Elizabeth I who will also become the Queen of England, but only after the death of her half siblings Edward VI and Mary I.

The third wife Jane Seymore was believed to be the most beloved of the king for she gave him a son, an heir that he wanted badly. The heir Edward VI will become the king after the death of his father. Henry VIII married Jane  right after beheading his previous wife Anne.

Both Anne and Jane had served as lady-n-waiting for the queen that they will replace.
