"I got dibs" is a slang phrase. When somebody says "I got dibs," it means that they believe they have the right to something.

For example, let's say there was only one empty swing left on the playground. Two kids, Li and Fei, both wanted that swing, so they ran there. Li got there first, so she "got dibs" to that swing.
