Help! Thank u Complete the sentences with the present perfect
simple or continuous form of the verbs in brackets
and since or for.

1. He LIVED an alternative lifestyle FOR six years and he plans to continue.
2. I KNEW my best friend SINCE I was very young.
3. She DIDN’T LISTEN the last hour and she still isn’t listening!
4. They DIDN’T HAVE a home SINCE October last year.
5. We BOUGHT/BUY [kinda confused on this one] any new things FOR six months
6. It RAINED two o’clock and I don’t think it’s going to stop soon.

Word of advice: if you ever don’t know what to put in a sentence, try reading it out with different possibilities and seeing if the sentence sounds right. If it sounds wonky, then you probably didn’t put the right form of the word in.
For example: “Yesterday, Sally (find) a dog at her local pet shop yesterday.”
Try putting different forms of the word find in the sentence to see if it reads smoothly. “Yesterday, Sally finds a dog,” doesn’t seem right, since the word yesterday shows that “find” should be in past tense. “Sally FOUND a dog” seems way more fitting. Although “finds” could work, the “Yesterday” hints at the word being past tense.
