What can be Inferred about Mother and Father's relationship from the ending of “The Revolt of Mother"?

It is possible to infer that the relationship of the mother, Sarah Penn, and of the father, Adoniram Penn, came out strengthened from the rebellious or revolted moment of the mother's - a moment that gives the name to the short story published in 1890. Sarah's determination to improve the quality of the family's home did not stop her from welcoming her husband into her new home in the end of the story, and she was calm enough to tell him that it was still necessary to buy windows and new furniture for the new house. The husband, far from being angry with his rebellious wife, cries and promises to make all the improvements in the house she asked for.
