Where in your life do you have power? How do you earn (or get) and keep that
power? Do you feel you treat those you have power over with humanity (kindly and
fairly)?
. Who do you feel has power over you? How did they earn (or get) and maintain it? Do
you feel they treat you with humanity?
• Think of a time when you observed power being used humanely or inhumanely.
What influenced this use of power? Is power always under the control of individuals,
or do sources of power beyond individuals (schools, religion, governments social
movements, prejudice, social class, political parties) sometimes control how people
act toward one another?
