The American Revolution established the United States as an independent nation. It also inspired people in countries around the world. In this lesson, you’ll study the causes and effects of the French Revolution, which was partly inspired by the American Revolution. The creation of the Declaration of Independence, which announced the United States’ separation from Great Britain, was a revolutionary act in itself. Read this quote from the document and answer the question that follows:
