If you know the outsiders, answer this, or write this. (I will change it myself no need for you to change it.) Assignment: Write an argumentative letter from Ponyboy to Paul Holden (of the Socs) persuading him that the rumble should not take place. You need to think of at least three claims to include in your letter. Use specific characters and events from the chapters to help make your claims. Also, try the strategy of bringing up the Socs side but making your side of the argument appear to be the best choice. This gives strength to your argument.
Your letter should have:

*A greeting and closing line

*A main idea (the argument)

*At least two claims (reasons) with supporting details

*Your letter does not have to be long, but it should be at least a paragraph and contain the argument, two claims or reasons with supporting details and examples.

Save your completed letter in the Argumentative Letter dropbox by Wednesday.

Which part of this excerpt from john keats' poem "endymion" contains a simile? therefore, 'tis with full happiness that i will trace the story of endymion. the very music of the name has gone into my being, and each pleasant scene is growing fresh before me as the green of our own vallies: so i will begin now while i cannot hear the city's din; now while the early budders are just new, and run in mazes of the youngest hue about old forests; while the willow trails its delicate amber; and the dairy pails bring home increase of milk. and, as the year grows lush in juicy stalks, i'll smoothly steer my little boat, for many quiet hours, with streams that deepen freshly into bowers.
