If you were walking down the street and saw someone trying to destroy a bike lock, what would you do? Why? Have you ever witnessed someone stealing a bike before or know of someone who had their bike stolen? Explain. Why do people steal bikes so often? Why did the reactions change depending on the gender or race of the person trying to steal it? Is this an example of racism in society? What would the reactions have been like if it was a black woman trying to steal the bike? Would the thief's gender matter in your decision over whether you would speak up or not?
