What is the power of a good question? Imagine you could interview the author of the text you selected for independent reading. If you could ask the author two questions, what would they be? Why do you want to know the answers to these two questions? Write a response in which you describe what questions you would ask, what from the text made you want to ask the questions, and what you think the author's answers might be. there is not such an "uncle" in the poem "a servant to servants". the narrator refers to many characters -particularly her brother and her husband- both suffering from mental illness. the woman is also suffering because she does something to but she is not happy with the situation.

the poem has a dramatic monologue about the woman life's circumstances and her traumatic events form the past.
