The video below will introduce you to our author for this week Henry David Thoreau. Henry David Thoreau (the-ro') was a transcendentalist who advocated simple, mindful living and rejected a lifestyle
dedicated to the pursuit of wealth. Thoreau spent much of his life writing and observing nature, devoting
only a minimum of time to earning a wage. After watching this video please reply to this assignment with
a nice well-written response worthy of 15 points & summarizing what you learned about Thoreau from
this video & what you find most interesting about him and his pursuit of nonconformity to society's
