I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and bacon sizzling. It was a usual Saturday morning, or so I thought. My name is Christinna Davis I am 14 years old I have reddish brown hair down to my shoulders that is wavy. My eyes are a color of their own. No one else in my family has emerald green. I have tons of tiny little freckles on my nose and under my eyes covering my light olive skin. Today I was going to meet my best friend Sophia. She was short like me, 5’3 she has very small tight curls, brown eyes and fair skin. We were going to go to the movies at 9:00 pm today and I was excited because we hadn’t seen each other in four days. I went into the kitchen and inhaled the amazing smell of bacon. My mom was flipping pancakes and smiling like usual. She had brown hair and brown eyes. Her hair was wavy like mine. My dad had red hair and brown eyes and was sitting at our round wooden table reading the newspaper. Who even does that anymore? I ate my delicious breakfast and went to get dressed. I was deciding between a blue shirt and black shorts and a grey shirt and regular denim shorts. I went with the option because that shirt was new and I haven’t worn it much yet. After I pulled my outfit on I heard a ding coming from my phone. I opened it, not at all surprised it was from Sophie. “ Do you want to bring John and James?” James was my bf and John was hers. They were twins with chocolate brown hair and blue eyes. We have been double dating since we were 13 and I replied yes. This night was supposed to be one of the most fun and it was for a little while. After I replied she invited me over to her house so I walked around the block to her house. All the houses in our neighborhood are really nice mansions but even out of all of them her’s towering over the others and was clearly the best. I rang the doorbell and Sophie came rushing to the door in a giant sweatshirt and smiled just as big. On my way in I took off my shoes and replaced them with the slippers her family had just for me. We practically lived at each other's houses. Her mom gave me a big squeeze and rushed back to work. As we walked up the great spiral wooden staircase to her room she talked about her outfit options. Whenever she asks me I always suggest green. It’s just her color like mine is dark blue. When we reached the third floor which contained her room and her brother’s room and a bunch of others. Her brother had dark curly brown hair and eyes like mine and the same fair skin as Sophie. His name is Jackson and he’s 15. He’s sort of quiet but funny and friendly at the right times. He smiled at me and I blushed. know I shouldn’t think this bus her brother is kind of hot. I have a bf I said in my head over and over again everyday. I was obsessed over him until I met James. Sophia’s room was stunning with white, gold and green. We climbed up to her queen loft bed where we always talk.“ Ok, what was that about you totally blushed”, said Sophie. “Umm nothing”, I replied quickly. As if that helped anything. “Whatever we need to plan my outfit”. She knew enough to end the conversation there. We decided on a green shirt and blue denim shorts. When she finished getting dressed where we headed to the social media room. This was Sophie and I’s favorite room. It had organized boxes of props, backdrops and it had microphones everywhere and a lighting ajuster along with a green screen.

Which excerpt from the awakening best highlights the elation edna feels when she thinks of robert? the morning was full of sunlight and hope. edna could see before her no denial—only the promise of excessive joy. she lay in bed awake, with bright eyes full of speculation. “he loves you, poor fool.” he would come to her in the afternoon or evening, sit and roll his cigarette, talk a little, and go away as he had done the night before. but how delicious it would be to have him there with her! robert did not come that day. she was keenly disappointed. he did not come the following day, nor the next. each morning she awoke with hope, and each night she was a prey to despondency. his horses were full of mettle, and even a little unmanageable. she liked the rapid gait at which they spun along, and the quick, sharp sound of the horses' hoofs on the hard road.
