Paul, the son of a duke, prepares for his journey to the desert planet Dune. His
many tutors train him in everything from knife fighting to magically controlling
others with his voice.
On the planet, Paul barely escapes the destruction of his noble house after his
enemies, the Harkonnens, betray his family. Together, Paul and his mother
brave the many dangers of Dune, including its massive sandworms.
Eventually, he is taken in by the Fremen, the desert dwellers of the planet who
believe Paul is the chosen one of their prophecies. Paul must unite the
Fremen to topple those who betrayed him.
