Canyon State Park as its deep, red landscape appears

Grand Canyon in Arizona, has scenic views just as glorious as
those of the more famous canyon. During the day, punishing
sun heats every visible crevice: during the night soothing winds
cool secluded campgrounds. Coyotes can be heard in the
distance as the winds sweep through the valley, echoing the
howls off the steep canyon walls. Come dawn, visitors are
rewarded with stunning views of the erosion that has taken
place over millions of years, and of the rocks impossibly
balanced on one another and their relentless determination to
remain unmoved. This place and its striking diversity deserve
recognition for doing exactly what nature does best: providing
wonder to all. The best times to visit Palo Duro Canyon State
