Read the passage below carefully and answer the questions that follow. Pandora, who had recently celebrated a birthday, opened her box of gifts. But she was shocked to see that Lila, who has been the fire warden for 30 years, and is currently living in a trailer with some scrappy dogs and cats, sent her almost thousand dollars as gift. So Pandora turned to Mr. Mann the man with small, dark eyes which peer inquisitively from behind metal-rimmed glasses and asked him what he thought. In a state of confusion, Mr. Mann asked Pandora to keep the money and send a thank you card to her friend. He then proposed that Pandora should find a cat which is worth at least ten dollars that she could buy for Lila.
