In the poem love is presented as being protective, with the ability to care for when needed by a person. This is clear when we learn " keep it like a warm coat when winter comes to cover you" the use odf smilie and metaphor makes it clear that the writer is gifting his love to the audience so that when the audience need it in their hardships and dark times it would joy and happiness, further this implies that the love makes a person feel special as it is also with them life a best friend and that no one can take love away from you as it is now part of your life that it has covered and no one can take it away from you that will always give you comfort.
