Dear Diary;

It has been another year with many twists and turns, all of which have worked out for the better. I have now fulfilled my goal of serving my city for 50 years, I can only hope to be as successful with the rest of my life as I have been thus far. There has been recent flooding, but it is to trivial a matter for me, so I shall allow the insurance personnel to worry about it.
