a. Miss Stephanie Crawford and Aunt Alexandra who feel bad for the black tribal people, the Mrunas, and try to support them by going on missions to Africa with their Baptist church.
b. Dill Harris kills all the flowers in Mrs. Dubose's garden because he hears her say bad things about Atticus. After reading to her for an hour a day, he befriends her and saddened by her death.
c. Atticus Finch defends a black man because he believes people are innocent until proven guilty, that people never lie, and that the court is the best place for any person, especially a black person, will always receive a just and fair verdict.
d. Scout tries to talk to the members of the lynch mob and by addressing them directly is able to deter them from their intention of killing a man in jail.
