The first memory I have is being with my mother at the supermarket. What I remember most is sitting in the shopping cart while she was taking us from the store to the car through the parking lot. I remember looking up and seeing so many stars in the night sky. I remember my mother was nervous or in a hurry, maybe even upset. But I felt so safe with her. And sitting among the groceries felt warm and cozy. I felt happy at that moment, alone with her, without my siblings, watching the stars.
