The pros are:
Having a loving home where prospective parents, have the opportunity to open their hearts and home to a child who desperately needs it. To ensure that they are never orphaned or feel unwanted. You get to enrich their lives with meaning, warmth and love.
Moreover, adoption grants same sex-parents the gift of a child, who they couldn’t otherwise have. Whether you are single, or are unable to conceive, adoption helps make your dream of parenthood come true.
It changes your life by growing a family through adoption is a life-changing journey. It’s both rewarding and challenging. Through domestic infant adoption, you get to experience the joy of bringing home a baby, and raising him or her from the start of their life. From there, you get to watch them as they grow, and raise them as your own.

The cons are:

Despite the leaps the government has made, there is still room for more growth and a deeper sense of acceptance. Until that happens, though, discrimination continues to thrive. Thus, your child may be subject to bullying and ridicule at school.
Statistics show that teens raised by LGBT parents often have higher rates of depression, drûg abuse and suic!de than by straight parents. These facts alone stop potential parents in their tracks. Yet, it’s important to remain hopeful, positive and realistic.
Not everyone is cut out to be a parent. The idea of having a child always overtakes the reality of it. Once your child comes home, you can’t give him or her back at the end of the day. You have to be dedicated to them every step of the way.

an great real life example for the lottery principle is the real life lottery itself. it adheres to the lottery principle so much it's even called lottery. you apply for the lottery in the manner of getting a ticket and if you are lucky, the goods are distributed to you, in this case, the huge amounts of money. there are other real life example but this is the best one.
