“Aegisthus [adulterer with Clytemnestra], of course, must die, but to kill him alone would never satisfy justice. His crime was less black than another’s. What then? Could it be justice that a son [Orestes] should take a mother’s [Clytemnestra’s] life to avenge a father’s [Agamemnon’s] death?” (Hamilton 357-358).
