Millennials are technologically savvy, independent, motivated workers who are changing the office environment. As baby boomers retire, millennials have become a majority of the workforce, which has led to changes in office environments. For instance, millennials stay at a single job for an average of two years, much less time than previous generations. On the other hand, millennials are known for their ability to work independently and complete work without much guidance. Along these lines, millennials prefer to work under someone who coaches them rather than bosses them around. Ultimately, they like to be respected, which motivates them to work even harder. It’s important for supervisors to recognize these traits to get the most out of their millennial workers. In the next assignment, you'll write a summary of a different article with less guidance.
