Hope. Precious is ultimately a story of hope. Precious has a core of hope, though she does feel hopeless at times. She goes to the GED program as an “alternative” to her current situation and puts her faith in her teacher, etc. even in the face of difficult circumstances. life 2200 right now look pretty good because on how quickly humans are advansing, life will be a breeze. most by by then would have out lawed disese.most wouldn't have to work anymore beacuse everything would be free. the econamy for most countires would be really good, also by then u.s.a would have probably would have expaned its borders.
