Out of the three dialectical tensions, which one have you most experienced in your relationships? Identify one of the three dialectics, explain it in your own words, and describe how you have experienced it. Create a metaphor to describe this dialectical tension in your relationship (choose one). For example, "the openness-closedness dialectic is like eating ice cream. Eating a little bit is good, but if you eat too much it makes you sick. In turn, if you share a little personal information it can be fulfilling, but if you share too much it can hurt your relationship".
Overall what communication behaviors do you think, based of the reading, can help improve your relationships. Which one do you think will be most important to help manage your relational dialectics?
