Read my paragraph and give constructive feedback!

just so it's easier to comment on, here was my assignment:

think of the different ways language is used during your day—at home, at school, in the newspaper, on the internet, on tv, at the mall. post a paragraph or two on the following question:

does language ever change, and if it does, who or what makes it evolve?

language, without a doubt, changes. there is proof of that left and right. for instance, compare old english to our modern speech. lately, technology has been causing language to evolve at a more rapid pace. texting, social media, and such have been involved in bestowing new meanings to common words, the creation of new words, and the development of new acronyms. in the present day, these new words and such tend to have the effect of seeming ridiculous, which leaves me curious as to how society in the past viewed changes in language. be it fifty years ago- or five hundred years ago; how did people respond towards these modifications? we will one day be a society of the past, as well, which leaves me to also question the direction in which language is headed towards. how many more words will we change? how many more new ones will we create? technology has been furthering the process of shortening language, so perhaps, for example, people will one day speak mostly in acronyms, creating an entire new language.

(this is for ap english, so i'd like to make it the best it can be)
