When writing "Each man calls barbarism whatever is not his own practice." Montaigne illustrates that we as individuals do not accept others, who are different from us.  When people do not do things the manner in which we do, we refer to them as savages. We as a general public closely disapprove and don't involve opportunities to comprehend individuals who are not quite the same as us.
