Two qualities we can see in these poems are the worship of nature and inner reflection. Wordsworth sees nature as a source of comfort, and claims in "Tintern Abbey" that "Nature never did betray the heart that loved her". Though in "The World is Too Much with Us" he feels less sure of reciprocity when it comes to nature, it was one of his guiding principles; even in that poem he yearns to be a pagan, in order to better love nature.

On the other hand, “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud” shows Wordsworth looking inside himself in order to find comfort in the memories of nature, similar to what he does in "Tintern Abbey"; this expanded inner life was a main feature of Romantic poetry.
