In this novel, the character is portrayed as an anti-hero and this novel deals with finding the world’s meaning and the nature of evil and good. According to him, of all the primitive religions, evil is always placed outside the nature in the unknown spirits. In the story, Grendel is portrayed as a physical creature in his original work.
