The purpose of syle is to draw readers into what you are writing because having your own syle means your writing uniquely such as using words maybe big words that people don't usually use when writing 

The purpose of style in writing is meant to differentiate yourself from other authors and to create a sort of signature for your work. People will know you for this particular style and it will attract a certain group of readers as a result.
