Kinda hard not to, i miss the one who's heart connected with mine, i miss the way people smiled when we were all making jokes and hanging out together, i miss the way that when we were all together we were strongest; but now that we are apart we feel as insignificant as a grain of sand in a hurricane

People experience grieving and loss differently. People need their time to overcome a feeling of how they are feeling.

Relationship wise: people tend to grow a bond with their partner over the years which can make them feel detached.
