Help please Read the following passages:
Passage A
"It's hard to be satisfied with your life when you're poor. All the advice you get for saving money only makes you more stressed and
unhappy. People tell you never to pay for a bank account, but free banking doesn't come cheap. You can't get free checking without a
minimum balance. You can't get a no-fee student savings account when you can't afford tuition. They tell you that buying in bulk is
cheaper in the long run, but bigger sizes cost more right now. A lower price per each doesn't matter if you don't have enough cash in your
wallet for the economy size. And when it comes to necessities like toilet paper and diapers, you can't wait for them to go on sale, either."
Passage B
"In news that will probably surprise no one, it turns out that money actually does buy happiness. Put more precisely, people with more
income are more satisfied with their lives. This is according to a survey of people who play the lottery in Sweden. Scientists first located
people who had different levels of success in the lottery. Then they asked the players to rate how satisfied they were with their lives. The
survey found that lottery winners are happier with their lives than non-winners. Further, people who won large sums reported higher life
satisfaction than people who won small amounts."
What is a common theme of both of these readings?
O Money contributes to life satisfaction and ease of living.
O People cannot be happy unless they have a lot of money.
O Poor people should play the lottery.
O There are many ways to save money and become happier.
