1. Arachne was famous for her skill in weaving, the story of her contest with a goddess is well known.

9. Struck with pity, Minerva told Arachne she could keep her life even though she was rude and arrogant, Minerva added, however, that Arachne and her descendants would still hang.

10. As she left, Minerva sprinkled magic juices over Arachne the girl was changed into a spider, the handing weaver we all know today
