"Is that the last load?" asked Ze'ev as her younger sister pulled up in her pickup truck. Brouina nodded as she began to unload. "You sure have a lot of stuff," Brouina commented. "How are you going to fit it all into your tiny dorm room?"
"Oh, I can make it fit," said Ze'ev with a grin. "Maybe I'll stack all the boxes up, throw a blanket over the top, and sleep on a box bed." Brouina laughed despite her weariness. She and her sister had been moving heavy boxes and furniture all morning.
"You can always make me laugh, sis," Brouina said. "Somehow, even hard work seems like fun when you're around."
"I appreciate your help," replied Ze'ev. "When you move away to college in a few years, I'll be the first one there to help."
"I'm going to miss you at home," admitted Brouina. "I brought you something special as a going-away present." She handed her sister a large handmade quilt.
"It's beautiful!" Ze'ev exclaimed as tears filled her eyes. "Did you make this?"
"Gran and I made it for you," said Brouina. "We matched the colors in the quilt to the colors in your old room. I hope it makes your new dorm room feel like home."
"I hated this ugly room this morning," Ze'ev said, looking around at the drab gray walls and dim lighting. "This quilt makes all the difference. I will think of my family and my home whenever I see it."
"Let's not get all mushy," laughed Brouina. "We still have a lot of work to do. Why don't we get started on that box bed of yours?" As her sister stacked boxes higher and higher, Ze'ev's tears of sadness were replaced with tears of laughter.
