I trusted you and you left me,

I trusted you and you hurt me,

I trusted you and you scarred me,

I trusted you because I loved you,

I trusted you because you're my mom,

I trusted you because you said you loved me,

I trusted you because you promised to be there,

I trusted you and you didn't show up,

I trusted you for so long and gave you all I had,

I trusted you even though your lies began to creep through,

I trusted you even after I knew the truth,

I trusted you when I never should have in the first place.
