Part 2 of my story im writing let me know how it is! high school

Chapter 3

(Roxy’s pov)

I went down stairs because they were yelling and before they saw me I screamed. I said…

Roxy: Stop fighting! We have a guest here.
Roxy's mom: Make us.
Roxy: FINE I'M LEAVING JUST LIKE AXEL DID. FU. CK YOU GUYS!

I ran upstairs with tears in my blue, gray eyes. Tears were running down my face, I walked in my room and Spike stood up and hugged me. I felt safe like I wasn't going to get hurt anymore. I was going to be ok. And he broke me out of my thoughts by pulling away from the hug.

(roxy’s thoughts)

To be honest though I wanted to keep hugging him. Am I in love with the bad boy?? No I can't be. At least I don't think I am.
*End of thoughts*

(Spike’s pov)

I heard yelling coming from downstairs and then I sat on the bed wondering if roxy was ok. I was knocked out of my thoughts when I heard the bedroom door open. I looked up and it revealed a crying roxy. I got up and I went to hug her. She hugged back and we stayed there for a few minutes, then we parted away from the huge.

Spike: You ok? What happened? Did they hurt you? Why are you crying?
Roxy: 1. I’m ok just it's a long story. 2. They didn’t hurt me. I'm fine and 3. I'll tell you later. But can we get out of here? I just need to leave for a few hours like now.
Spike: yeah we can go.

(roxy’s pov)

Just as Spike said that we heard banging on my door he ran over to the door and locked it and said pack some stuff. I nodded and got things I needed because I knew i'm not coming back so after I got my things we climbed out of the window and ran to his dark blue pick-up truck. We got in and Spike started to drive away. It was silent the whole way to his house.

We got to his house and it was nice I was expecting a dungeon to be honest. We walked into the black and white 3 story house and I was imiering how nice it looked until I said…

Chapter 4

Roxy: Wow this is nice. Where are your parents?
Spike: Thx and they're dead. I'm a foster kid, my foster parents adopted me because they felt bad for me so they adopted me.
Roxy: Will they be ok with me staying here?
Spike: Yeah the won’t care there never here, because they live in NYC
Roxy: Oh

(roxy’s pov)

After he said that, I was surprised that he opened up like that to me. I walked up to a bedroom and put my stuff in there and went downstairs to get a water bottle out of the fridge. I got the bottle of cold water and sat on the marbled counter top. Spike was on the couch watching net. flix so i went on my phone and about after 30 minutes of scrolling through insta. gram i went to the couch and sat down next to Spike.

He was watching netflix and i was watching it until i heard a knock on the door spike went to go see who it is and he saw the cops. He told me it's the cops and I went to go see for myself i saw…

Read this excerpt from "a visit from the goon squad."that’s when he began singing the songs he’d been writing for years underground, songs no one had ever heard, or anything like them—“eyes in my head,” “x’s and o’s,” “who’s watching hardest”—ballads of paranoia and disconnection ripped from the chest of a man you knew just by looking had never had a page or a profile or a handle or a handset, who was part of no one’s data, a guy who had lived in the cracks all these years, forgotten and full of rage, in a way that now registered as pure. untouched.how does the author use satire in this excerpt? the author is criticizing media censorship.the author is criticizing the idea of isolationism.the author is mocking society’s overuse of technology.the author is mocking man’s inability to freely express himself.
