karen blumenthal is the author of steve jobs: the man who thought different, and because of her work, she was a finalist in the 2013 yalsa award for excellence in nonfiction award.

it is significant that blumenthal interviewed several people who knew steve jobs personally because this allowed her to gain access to the industry. she has also stated that due to her work in the 1980s, she was able to get acquainted with the process of making computers and other technology, and was able to witness the progress different companies made and to appreciate apple's contribution to it. finally, this close connection with the industry means that her information is more credible than that of a complete outsider.

the maori creation myth tells the story how humans were born and how nature in their birth by sacrificing themselves. according to this creation myth, the earth and heaven were once joined as ranhinui.   papatuanuku was the sky father and the mother ranhinui was the earth and they had many children. the children lived in the darkness and wanted to live in the light. the children separated the parents in order to live in the light. the parents continue to grieve for each other until the present day.

the haida creation myth is about a trickster named raven who stole the sun, the moon and the stars in order to bring light to his created world. he created animals, fish, trees, men, and all the creatures but they lived in darkness because of which he stole light.

based on a comparison of the myths “the maori: genealogies and origins in new zealand” and “the raven and the first men: the beginnings of the haida,” if the maori and the haida people decided to create a myth together, the importance of family will be the most likely values be expressed.

the maori and haida cultures are more similar than different because they have   important values in common. both the cultures value nature, family and sacrifice.
