What was Katniss's final stand (her plan) at the Cornucopia when it was just her and Peeta left? WHY would the Capital be furious with her because of it?

Katniss and Peeta's final stand were to eat the poisonous berries that would kill them both in a double-s--icide. This would leave the Hunger Games with no true victor, and would make not only the Capital furious, but the whole of Panem. They need a final winner in order to keep the tradition and popularity going.
