Does this sound good for a explanation on why video games can benefit kids? In the UK (United Kingdom, aka England) there is a boy named Jaden Ashman, he is very well known among gamers as an Esports player and Fortnite World Cup Winner. Not only is Jaden and Esports player but he also gains over $60,000 a year due to his signed agreement with the Esports team Lazarus. Jaden even went as far as going onto a TV show to tell how video gaming should be added to school curriculums, of which he said that it helps gain understanding in Computers and Technology and not only that but it also can help kids to become successful, through gaming!
Most people (especially parents, but you didn't hear that from me) believe that video games are just games, but that's not true. A lot of people don't look at the benefits that gaming has brought to many people and businesses. We already have so many internet famous gamers, and there are some who just stay with one video game genre! This means that there are multiple types of successful gamers, and we are nowhere NEAR finding how many possibilities there are for video games. As a gamer myself (I do try to Stream my games, but I'm a bit to shy for that) it would seen natural that I would promote video games, but I'm not the only one! GWR (Guinness World Records) has an entire section dedicated to gamers including speedrun records from multiple gamers, and dedicated to specific games. I mean Portal 2 still remains the most speedrunned Steam game, and there are other gamers like Marlin who got a record time for a speedrun of Celeste. Games themselves have records, Terraria still remains the highest rated RPG on Metacritic and even the classic Legend of Zelda is up there (The Legend of Zelda has the highest rated score of any game with a 99% rating on Metacritic). It even goes back to the games that some one our parents grew up on like Super Mario, Sonic, and Donkey Kong. There's even a record for Metroid Prime.
I want to have parents know how successful young beings can really be if they choose the route of a gamer or game designer, it all stands back to what we choose to be in the end, but it wouldn't hurt to give others a chance to open their parents field of view and let them try to become a gamer or game designer. All I think is that people (mostly parents, again you didn't hear that from me) need to stand back and give the generation of gaming a chance.
