There were houses that the group would stay in and receive food, water, bedding, and sometimes supplies. She assisted slaves for 11 years and never lost a single person on an escape.

She also had a career as a nurse and had dreams that she took to be visions from God, causing her to have great faith in the heavenly father up above.
