As people or children of God as we are often referred to, we have a responsibility to look out for others and their wellbeing. In society, we are expected to "Love thy neighbor." Or care for others and have their backs, support is often demonstrated and affection to show we care.

In a community, we have certain responsibilities, like being respectful, or completing tasks, or showing up for work. We also should demonstrate kindness in every aspect of life. In school we should ensure and have others backs, as well as provide safety and not put others at risk. WE should also demonstrate proper sportsmanship and academic success and try our best as well as provide for the well-being of others and common good.

being treated by whites and how he basically has no freedom. his search for adulthood is exactly

how most african-americans felt and acted during that time. dave also gets so fed up that he  

wants to actually fight back which is how all the other african-americans felt too. desperation is

a major theme in the story as dave is desperate to experience his adulthood, and african-

americans are desperate to escape poverty.
