The following excerpt is taken from a narrative written
in about living conditions during the Harlem
Anaissance it is a part of the Federal Writers Project
created during the Great Depression to document
history and provide jobs for struggling writers. Frank
Sre was one of just five American-American writers out
of the writers who worked on the project
when a person works during the night instead
of working during the day
when a person lives in one apartment during
the day and another apartment at night
