Evan is writing a personal narrative. He wants to add a sentence that will help develop his narrative. Choose the sentence that best achieves Evan's goal.
Spring cleaning is a household ritual that I usually dread. But this year yielded an unexpected reward.
Mom, as she always did, assigned each of us an area. I was told to work on the attic closet. I wasn't happy to be spending a gorgeous
spring day stuck in a musty windowless room, but Mom wasn't interested in hearing me complain.
"The sooner you get it done, the sooner you'll be free to enjoy the day," she said. "Besides, you never know what treasure you'll find
hidden up there."
I doubted our attic held anything I'd be interested in. Still, I got going so that I could hopefully have the afternoon free.
The attic closet hadn't been cleaned in years. Inside were several old suitcases, a trunk, and a stack of old shoeboxes. The suitcases
were empty and the trunk had nothing but old clothes. When I opened the first shoebox, though, I found what Mom had hinted I might.
"How's it going Evan?" my mother called from downstairs.
"Where did all this old stuff come from?" I muttered to myself.
It was crammed with stacks of old postcards tied with faded ribbons.
was then able to finish quickly and enjoy my free afternoon with friends.

"and these i address to all females that would be married, or are already so; not that i suppose their sex more faulty than the other, and most to want advice, for i assure [women], upon my honour, i believe the quite contrary; but the reason is, because i esteem them better disposed to receive and practice it, and therefore am willing to begin, where i may promise myself the best success." this statement from franklin's "rules and maxims for promoting matrimonial happiness" best demonstrates his use of criticism to argue his point his use of common sense to appeal to women his use of flattery to gain women's attention his use of facts to prove his point

Read the excerpt from "a defence of poetry.” poetry thus makes immortal all that is best and most beautiful in the world; it arrests the vanishing apparitions which haunt the interlunations of life, and veiling them, or in language or in form, sends them forth among mankind, bearing sweet news of kindred joy to those with whom their sisters abide—abide, because there is no portal of expression from the caverns of the spirit which they inhabit into the universe of things. poetry redeems from decay the visitations of the divinity in man. which details from the excerpt provide more information about shelley’s idea that poetry "makes immortal all that is best and most beautiful in the world”? check all that apply. arrests the vanishing apparitions which haunt the interlunations of life sends them forth among mankind, bearing sweet news to those with whom their sisters abide no portal of expression from the caverns of the spirit redeems from decay the visitations of the divinity in man
