Tho.as sees death as a necessary but very terrifying experience. Alcott sees death as a proud ending summing up your life and to remember all the good times. Thomas and Alcott both believe that death happens for a reason but Alcott thinks of it as a happy ending and Thomas thinks of it as a terrifying ending.
