Maaga akong gumising dahil kailangan kong ayusin ang mababangong
bulaklak na dadalhin namin kay lola. Ngayon ay kaniyang kaarawan at eksited na
akong pumunta sa kaniyang bahay dahil matagal na rin kaming di nakadalaw sa
kaniya dahil sa kwarantin. Nagluto si mama ng masarap na ispageti at syempre ang

pakwan. Nagpabili rin ako ng regalo kay mama para kay lola. Isang duster na
bulaklakin na tiyak na magugustuhan niya. Alam kong hindi na gaanong nakakakita
si lola dahil sa matanda na siya at malabo na ang kaniyang mga mata. Sila na lamang
din ni tita Myrna ang magkasama sa bahay sapagkat si lolo ay matagal na rin
pumanaw. Kaya sa palagay ko, matutuwa siya sa aming pagdalaw sa kanilang bahay.

Plz asap read this sentence from paragraph 3 of the article. the boys and girls are merely asked to obtain the signatures of ten friends or relatives. how does the word "merely" affect the meaning of the sentence? a- it suggests that asking people to subscribe to the washington times is something negative. b- it implies that obtaining ten signatures is not a requirement for receiving a prize. c- it downplays the fact that to win the prize, children must ask people to subscribe to the washington times. d- it emphasizes that children receive the prize only if they obtain ten signatures.
