Reuben used a telescope to observe the craters of the moon. After several nights he realized that the surface of the moon always appeared the same. Reuben whether the moon rotated on an axis or was stationary. After doing some research at the library, Reuben learned that the moon spins on its axis at the same rate that it revolves around Earth. This means that the same side of the moon is always facing Earth.​
