In at least five hundred words, write an essay that compares and contrasts related themes in Picasso's The Tragedy and Sophocles's Oedipus the King. Begin by identifying at least two common themes. Then compare and contrast how each work addresses the theme. Analyze what is included, as well as what is left out of each composition. Include specific examples from the text or painting of how its medium communicates its ideas. Use this prewriting exercise as the basis for your discussion.
