They both were shot because of who they were. Anne Frank was Jewish and therefore was the target of oppression and hatred by the Germans. She and her family were discovered in their hiding place and all except her dad were killed. One of the reasons Martin Luther King was assassinated was because he was black. Also, I guess another similarity between these two would be the fact that they were both living in an era where they were considered horrible human beings simply because if their racial/religious backgrounds.
