When we buy our food from a grocery store, it’s easy to ignore all of the work that went into producing that food. In this project, you will explore the steps necessary to produce a packaged food item and the knowledge and skills that make those steps possible. Instructions
Step 1: Choose a packaged food item in your house.

Step 2: From the list of ingredients on the package, identify the food products.

Step 3: Choose one food product from your list.

Step 4: Identify the steps necessary to transform plants into that product, from preparing the soil for planting to turning the ingredients, which include plants grown in that soil, into a tasty, healthy food.

For each step, list the agribusiness knowledge and skills needed to complete that step successfully. For example, preparing the soil requires knowledge of climate and soil, fertilizers, and farm machinery and the skill to know when to fertilize and plant and how to run the machinery.

Submission Requirements
Use lesson "Today’s Agribusiness Systems" and any additional references of your choice.
Identify the packaged food item you have chosen.
From the ingredients on the package, list the food products the item contains.
For one food product on your list, identify the steps required to make that product an ingredient in your food item.
For each step you have identified, list the knowledge and skills needed to perform that step.
