Passage 1 in the third inning of the game, I lost control as a pitcher and walked two batters in a row. It was a case of the rookletters
My catcher, Joey, came to the mound to try to calm me down. He told me that it wasnt a big deal and that should just relax
and have fun. I can't expect him to say such a thing and was taken aback. But it worked! I struck out the next two batters and
get the batter after that to fly out to left field. Being a veteran, Joey knew how to put me at ease, and I've always been
grateful for that.
Passage 2:
I could tell that Pete was rattlest after walking the first two batters in the third Inning. I ran to the mound and asked him what
was wrong. He said. Toey, I don't know, my control is just of.." grinned and told him not to worry about it. Control would
come and go, but it wasn't something worth getting worked up over. After that, he got his control back I'm not sure why a
happened, but I'm glad tid
