For this journal entry I've decided I want to learn more about Rosa Parks. Rosa Parks was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, on February 4th 1913. She was called "the mother of the civil rights movement," Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat to a white man in Montgomery, Alabama. She got arrested for that, she got arrested on December 1st 1955. She tried to end racial segregation, and she did. I admire her because she fought for civil rights. Rosa Parks believed in freedom and she believed that we should all be treated the same. She is a good person because she believes in human rights. The experiences she had was that she wouldn't give up her seat on the bus. that got her in jail but she fixed racial equality. One contrubution she made was that her bravery led to nationwide efforts to end racial segregation. She has all the qualities and traits of a hero. Rosa Parks was caring and her courage led an end to the civil rights movement. She died in October 24th, 2005 in Detriot, MI.
